Warmer days, vibrant carpets of bluebells and wildflowers, and the first fresh leaves unfurling on the trees create a magical backdrop for your time together. With birdsong filling the air, butterflies on the wing, and wildlife becoming more active, spring is the perfect time to explore the nation’s forests without spending a fortune.
Hayley Skipper, Head of Recreation at Forestry England, says:
"Spring is one of the most uplifting times to visit the forest. As bluebells and wildflowers begin to carpet the woodland floor, new leaves burst into life and birdsong fills the air, there’s a real sense of energy and renewal. Whether you're meeting beloved storybook characters, trying new activities, or simply enjoying a peaceful family walk among the trees, our forests are the perfect place for affordable, unforgettable Easter adventures."
