What can I do?
Shadow rangers - voluntary scheme
We are looking for individuals with an interest in pursuing a career in countryside management for our voluntary scheme. Successful applicants will be given training and development opportunities by work shadowing current countryside management staff. This is a six month scheme that runs twice a year.

Practical volunteer
We meet twice a month, generally the first Tuesday at a woodland around Silverstone (such as Hazelborough Woods) and the third Wednesday at Salcey Forest.
Tasks undertaken are a mixture of conservation project work and site management including clearing vegetation, removing old tree tubes, coppicing and much more.
No experience is needed and all tools, training and tea and biscuits will be provided.
