Beech wood and seagrass footstool weaving one-day workshop
Event details

- Learning Centre
I’m delighted to bring my small group workshops to Westonbirt Arboretum. Spend a day weaving your footstool with a view of the trees, taught by me, Felicity Tran, traditional upholsterer and seat weaver.
You will go home with your completed, professional standard woven footstool in a choice of natural beech or painted beech frame, at the end of the day and treasure it forever.
Your footstool frame is locally made using solid beech and will be woven with sustainable seagrass cord.
I can’t emphasise enough how enjoyable this heritage craft is, sufficiently complex that you will feel, with no previous experience, that you have truly achieved a new skill, yet mindful enough to allow you to chat to your fellow attendees.
Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, please bring a packed lunch.
Entrance to the arboretum is included in the ticket price which means you can enjoy a walk once the course is complete.
Maximum of 8 attendees per workshop.
