Over 600 participants got involved in the first year’s planting!

We are working with a wide variety of community groups and schools. These include adults with learning difficulties, youth climate groups, college, and university students. We have also invited local mental health charities and wellbeing groups to take part.

We planted 3,300 trees during the winter of 2023/24

They got to work planting the trees and then installing a tube to protect them. Six different types of tube are being used on site including sugarcane, corn and starch; organic cotton and pine tree rosin; plant resin and recycled wood residue; cardboard; and even a mix of word, corn and potatoes!
