If Trees Could Talk – Festival of Archaeology free family event
Event details
-
Events at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum
- The Downs
Join us as part of the Festival of Archaeology, and uncover the secret lives of trees by learning to read their signs.
Look at tree rings from different trees to see what this shows us about how they have lived – revealing the past environmental conditions they lived in such as droughts and fires.
Create your own tree ring of life, and have a go at herbarium pressing your own leaves. Why not try some tree ring art too!
Make sure to check out the Festival of Archaeology event webpage, to keep up to date with other activities happening on the day.
