Drop in at Silk Wood Barn to meet the wonderful Matt Somerville of Bee Kind Hives and see the new Rocket Hive he recently crafted and installed at Westonbirt. He will be demonstrating log hollowing by hand, using a long gouge and you’re welcome to have a go.
Also expect a fascinating conversation about free-living bee colonies and the natural world.

Come and join us for an informative and inspiring discovery day about free-living honeybees and their lives.
The passionate and knowledgeable members of the Natural Beekeeping Trust will be on hand to talk to and answer your bee-related questions. Step into the observation hide to watch bees at work, try our bee puzzles and challenges to enter our prize draw, and create bee crafts to take home.
