Red mountain bike trail at Whinlatter

The red route puts the mountain back into biking and has been built for experienced riders with good off road skills and a higher level of fitness and stamina.

There are also fantastic views of Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, Helvellyn and Skiddaw as the trail takes the rider to an altitude of 500m (1600ft) above Keswick.

The trail is divided into the north and south loop. Start is above Cyclewise bike shop for the 10km North loop and across the road from the main visitor entrance for the South loop.
