Whinlatter Forest updates

Updated 23rd April 2026

Forestry operations work

We are working in the north-east of Whinlatter, removing 12% of trees in the area to produce timber, create more space for nature and improve forest stability.

To help keep you and our teams safe there are some trail closures and diversions in place – please follow all signage and help us keep you safe and look after this special place.
