Updated 16th March 2026

Forestry operations and play area accessibility improvements

We are working in the north-east of Whinlatter, removing 12% of trees in the area to produce timber, create more space for nature and improve forest stability. We are also installing new accessible play equipment along our WildPlay and resurfacing our Revelin Moss walking route trail to help make the forest more inclusive and welcome visitors of all abilities, whilst this is taking place we have some diverted and closed trails.

To help keep you and our teams safe there are some trail closures and diversions in place – please follow all signage and help us keep you safe and look after this special place.
