Play area closed while improvement works take place

For many years, our play area has been a much-loved part of a visit to Wyre, providing opportunities for children to play, explore and connect with nature. After years of adventures, the existing equipment has been well enjoyed by visitors and is now ready for a refresh.

Earlier this year, hundreds of visitors shared their ideas and feedback to help shape the future of the play area. Thank you to everyone who took part. Your suggestions have helped us develop plans for an exciting new play experience that reflects what families told us they would like to see.

We're delighted to be starting the transformation of the play area, with work beginning in November and new features being introduced in phases over the coming months.

The refreshed play area will provide even more opportunities for imaginative, active and nature-inspired play, helping children of all ages to enjoy adventure in the forest while creating lasting memories with family and friends.

We know the play area will be missed while works are underway, but we can't wait to welcome visitors back to enjoy the new space as it takes shape.
