Our schools programme and all guided learning visits to Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest are led by Kent High Weald Partnership, our trusted learning partners for over ten years. 

Choose from a range of learning programmes at Bedgebury, delivered to your class by expert staff.

Education visits

Each programme is developed to help you meet National Curriculum objectives, including Science and Geography.

Covering Y1 to Y6, programmes bring our world-famous tree collection alive in a beautiful, natural environment. 

Programmes include: 

• Discover our pinetum (Y1 and Y2)
• Explore the habitats of Bedgebury (Y2 and Y3)
• From tiny seeds to mighty trees (Y3 and Y4)
• Map quest (Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6)  

Forest School 

Kent High Weald Partnership offer Forest School sessions for children aged three and above.

All staff are trained Forest School leaders and have been delivering Forest School sessions around Tunbridge Wells since 2012.

Forest School helps children develop emotional intelligence, resilience and self confidence while connecting with the natural world.  

Our flexible sessions offer supervised fire lighting, den building and the cooking of countless marshmallows! 

We also offer qualifications including a Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Leadership for interested teachers as well as regular taster sessions.

Team building 

For year 3 upwards, our team building experience is a full or half day session. With curriculum links for KS2 and KS3 in Design and Technology, PE and Geography, activities may include: 

• map reading
• shelter building
• team challenges
