From 1 May 2025, you no longer need a permit to ride at Blidworth Woods.
You can still choose to purchase an East Midlands horse riding membership. Membership is optional, but it helps us care for the forests and woodlands you enjoy and maintain facilities for horse riders. Members also have exclusive access to the gated corral at Blidworth Woods. After purchasing a membership, please email membership@forestryengland.uk to request the access code.
Please keep to permitted horse riding routes and forest roads and avoid walking and mountain bike trails, and follow any operational signage or diversions that are in place.

Please note that Blidworth Woods can be very busy at times and is enjoyed by many dog walker and walkers, so take extra care when riding.

Parking
We recommend that you park at Blidworth Lane car park, which has designated horse box parking. The car park is gated, and you can request a loan key when you purchase a membership.
