Bridge Replacement Works

In late October 2025, bridge replacement work started at Chambers Farm Wood.  The bridge in the photo is a temporary bridge (there is also 250 metres of temporary road), that needs replacing to be used to access the forest, and for the nearby residences and farms to have the required access. The permanent crossing point should finished and in use at the end of January. 

Whilst this work is underway the Chambers Farm Wood car park is closed and therefore parking is unavailable. We hope people take this opportunity to explore other Forestry England woodlands in the area. There is an interactive map on our website which you can use to search for somewhere new for your woodland walk.
