About Shed Seven

Shed Seven formed in York in 1990. Fronted by the charismatic Rick Witter, alongside guitarist Paul Banks and bassist Tom Gladwin, they were a core fixture of the 1990s Britpop boom, enjoying commercial and critical acclaim with hits including ‘Chasing Rainbows’, ‘Going For Gold’, ‘Disco Down’ and the anthemic ‘On Standby’.

In 2021, the line-up was strengthened by the addition of drummer Robert ‘Maxi’ Maxfield and keyboard player Tim Wills, both of whom had previously spent 15 years playing alongside Ian Brown. Their arrival ushered in an extraordinary new chapter for the band. Shed Seven have experienced a huge career renaissance in the 2020s, achieving their greatest commercial success more than 30 years after their debut and securing an unprecedented two UK #1 albums in 2024.

Special guests The Lathums and The Lilacs will also be performing on the night.
