UB40 is a seminal reggae pop band from Birmingham that has sold over 70 million records worldwide. Originally formed by a group of friends from diverse ethnic backgrounds in 1978, UB40 became known for their socially aware lyrics and laid-back reggae rhythms. The group is known for its seamless blend of reggae, dub, and pop.
