Coppice Trail
The Coppice trail is a short family-friendly trail, mainly on level paths through Leigh Woods' beautiful habitats.
Look out for our large enclosed coppicing coupes which we are traditionally managing with the help of our volunteers to support an abundance of wildlife, including dormice and butterflies.
The trail is suitable for pushchairs but can be muddy.

Is this trail for you?
This trail is mostly flat with a generally smooth, firm surface. It is well drained with minimal loose material.
Trail Length
1.2km (3/4 mile). Walking time is approximately 20 minutes at a brisk pace, or 40 minutes with a family.
Accessibility
The trail is mostly over 1m wide. There is one 900mm gap. There are no steps or gates. Seating is available at the green barn in the first half of the trail.
