Our teams look after the New Forest and make sure the area can thrive for many years to come. Regular tasks include forestry activities and maintenance of trails, car parks and facilities. Some tasks require us to close certain areas while we work to keep everyone safe.

Car park repairs
- 12 and 13 January – Beaulieu Heath
- 14 January – Hatchet Moor

- 26 January to 6 February - Canadian War Memorial parking area, there will be traffic lights on the road nearby.
Seasonal closures

- At cycle route through Broomy Inclosure to High Corner is closed from Monday 5 January for two weeks while trees are removed nearby, please follow diversions and obey safety signage in the area.
- Part of the cycling and walking route in Highland Water Inclosure is closed from 26 January to 6 February, from cycle post 103 to 102 and 143 to 145 - the Inclosure gate at cycle post 143 will be locked, please follow diversions.
- In Knightwood Inclosure and at Ipley we're restoring areas back to heathland after the conifers have been removed, please don't be alarmed if you see smoke, this is part of the technique used to restore the area.
- Trees are being selectively removed to thin the canopy in Broomy Inclosure from 5 January for two to four weeks, moving along to High Corner and into Holly Hatch.
- Conifer trees are being removed in Highland Water Inclosure, close to the road by Mogshade Hill, Canadian War Memorial, there will be traffic lights on the road from 26 January to 6 February, whilst the felling takes place.
