Our enchanting after-dark trail returns for 2026 with dazzling lights, spectacular installations, and festive fun for the whole family! Created by the award-winning producers behind Christmas at Kew, it’s a must-see festive experience.
This year’s trail is reimagined for 2026 with new installations and festive favourites to give you an unforgettable new experience.
Wander through the illuminated arboretum, where twinkling lights transform the forest into a festive wonderland. Marvel at the stunning installations, including the classic Christmas Cathedral, fan-favourite Fire Garden, mesmerising Sea of Light, and interactive Ribbon Tunnels.

Trail entry times
To avoid overcrowding and ensure the enjoyment of all visitors on the illuminated trail you will need to select an entry time when booking.
Entry times vary depending on the date, but generally take place every 15 minutes between 4pm to 8pm. Please ensure you arrive at the trail entrance promptly for your allocated start time.
Anytime tickets permit entry on any trail time, on your chosen date. Only valid for the date chosen, and can only be used for entry to the trail once. Advanced booking is essential.
Prices
Standard and off peak tickets are available on various dates. Off peak tickets are on selected midweek dates. Booking fees are included in ticket prices. See our timetable for more info.

*All infants and personal assistants will require a ticket to enter the trail and must be booked with a paid ticket. Valid student ID to be shown on arrival.
Parking
If you are planning to arrive by car to Christmas at Westonbirt you must pre-book your parking space prior to arrival along with your trail tickets. Standard or Blue Badge parking is £10 per space when booked in advance.
Offer for Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum and Forestry England Members
We are offering all Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum and Forestry England Members one free parking space, when pre-booked at least one day in advance with Forestry England. Select the car parking (member) ticket and enter your membership number when prompted. If you require Blue Badge parking, please contact customerrelations@forestryengland.uk to book (subject to availability). You will need to show a valid membership card on arrival with your member parking ticket.
Relaxed Session
These sessions are for adults and young people, with additional needs, who would love to experience Christmas at Westonbirt without the usual high volumes of people. For Christmas at Westonbirt 2026, these will be held on Saturday 28 November, Friday 4 December, Thursday 10 December and Wednesday 16 December.

*Tickets are non-refundable, however you can transfer to an alternative date/time of the same value in your online account (subject to availability, up to 1 day in advance of your visit).
*A post trail survey will be sent to the email address provided. You are under no obligation to complete the survey but doing so will help in planning future activities.
