Forest Bathing at Westonbirt Arboretum
Event details
Come and be held in the beauty of our National Arboretum by 2 Forest Bathing Guides, Monica and Fiona.
Gift yourself time to disconnect from the craziness of the world, dropping out of your busy mind and into your body.
Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku, as it is known in Japan, is the gentle art of mindfulness in nature.
It is a deeply therapeutic method of allowing the natural world back in.
Through a series of mindful practises we can reclaim our kindred with nature.
Forest Bathing gifts us precious time to rekindle our love, awe and joy for the natural world.
There are many scientifically proven health and wellbeing benefits to spending focused time in nature, including stress reduction, lowering blood pressure, immunity boosting, helping with anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional trauma, grief, to name but a few.
We are Nature, we have just forgotten.
Spaces are limited to 12.
The session lasts 3 hours and costs £50, admission to Westonbirt is included in the price, so you can spend the rest of your day carrying on absorbing this treasure trove of beauty.
