Seasonal Slow Stitch with Peace&Craft
Event details
-
Events at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum
- Learning Centre
Enjoy a peaceful morning with Anna Marshall from Peace&Craft and a small group of fellow stitcher crafters to learn to look at your textile scraps differently in these low-pressure scrapcrafting sessions.
Follow demonstrations and simple steered tutorials to make unique, handstitched textile pieces and enjoy the gentleness of slow stitching with an inspirational collection of remnant materials and sumptuous threads from Anna’s 'scraps buffet'; always beautiful and always interesting.
Craft or sewing experience is not essential but very welcome. Whether you've never put thread to needle, or are a skilled crafter already, this is a no-rules creativity that focuses as much on the process and experience as the results.
What to bring:
includes all materials, guidance & tuition, complimentary day entry to the arboretum, tea/coffee & cake. Own pre-prepared light snacks, water bottles and/or other drinks are welcome.
Participants are very welcome to bring their own sewing kit, needles, fabric scissors/thread scissors and/or any favourite fabric scraps. Alternatively, shared tools & plenty of materials will be available to use on the day.
