Horse riding at Wharncliffe Wood

Horse riders are welcome to explore our network of paths and trails.

From 1 May 2025 a permit is no longer required to ride in these woodlands.  A horse riding membership can be purchased and in doing so, your membership helps us care for the locations you enjoy even though permits are no longer needed. Please continue to support the forests and woodlands in our care and the facilities we provide, to find out more visit Membership.

Membership allows you to ride in a variety of woodlands including, Sherwood Pines, Blidworth Woods and Haywood Oaks.
