Walking at Woodend

Walking is the perfect way to get some fresh air and explore some of the area's most beautiful landscapes. 

Starting your walk from Woodend allows you to explore, with no signposted trails, the quieter end of the larger West Walk woodland.

If you want to join the Explorer Trail from here, you can walk up the main track past the information board on the east side of the car park, over the wooden bridge and up to the junction at which point you are on the Explorer Trail and into the larger West Walk woodland.

Alternatively, you can leave the car park on the western side and walk directly, crossing a minor road, into Upperford Copse, and explore the minor paths there, leading onto the Meon Valley Trail for exploration of the wider area.

The immediate area of Woodend features many smaller unmarked paths for shorter walks, exploring the streams and other habitats. Keep an eye out for deer as they can be spotted in this peaceful area too!
