Discover more about how the forests are managed sustainably for wildlife, people and timber through hands-on activities

Leigh Woods is situated on the outskirts of Bristol. With variety of woods, glades and wide sunny paths and spectacular views over the Avon gorge, it's the perfect environment to inspire and excite learners of all ages and abilities.

We are delighted to be able to welcome back school and group visits to the forests.  You will need to book in advance, before visiting the forest.  This applies whether the group is guided or teacher-led on a self-guided visit. For more information, contact the local learning ranger victoria.brown@forestryengland.uk.

Our learning provider, My Green World, offer a wide range of curriculum linked programmes for schools (EYFS/KS1 and KS2), as well as pre-school sessions, woodland themed birthday parties, family sessions and expert led walks and talks.

Whether you want to book a guided visit with our learning provider or organise your own, there are lots of opportunities and free downloadable resources.
