All-terrain mobility scooters in the Forest of Dean
Explore the Forest of Dean with an off-road mobility scooter
Visitors with permanent or temporary limited mobility can hire an all-terrain mobility scooter (also called a Tramper).
Trampers are safe and easy to use, even if you’ve never used a scooter before. All first time users are provided with a short introduction by our rangers to make sure you know how it works. It can tackle a range of surfaces and gradients come rain or shine.
They can be used to explore:
- Beechenhurst
- Symonds Yat Rock, leading down to the River Wye at Symonds Yat from Forest Holidays
- Cyril Hart Arboretum
- Mallards Pike

- Up to 3 hours - £5
The Cyril Hart Arboretum and Mallards Pike
Trampers for these locations are hired out by the Speech House Hotel. This is also where you collect the tramper from. Please contact the hotel directly to book - 01594 822607

Trampers are provided through Countryside Mobility. If you are not already a member of Countryside Mobility, becoming one is quick and easy and will be part of your induction (£3 for one-off hire, £5 for 2 weeks, £15 for 1 year). You can then use Trampers at around 50 other beauty spots around England.
