A tranquil woodland escape in the heart of East Sussex

Nestled in the tranquil East Sussex countryside near Robertsbridge and Battle, Footland Wood is a peaceful stretch of woodland that invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature. Towering beech and conifer, winding paths, and a changing seasonal beauty make it a restorative escape in every month of the year.

Parking at Footland Wood

Parking at Footland Wood has been free of charge for many years. Unfortunately, as our operational costs keep rising, this is no longer sustainable and parking charges will apply from June, 2026.

Money from car parking is essential to help us continue caring for the nation's forests, including Footland Wood and making them welcoming places to visit.
