The car park has a gravel surface with 30 spaces, it can get busy at peak times.

Members: This site has barrierless ANPR. You do not need to display your membership car disc here, your number plate will be recognised. Please visit Manage My Membership if you need to update your vehicle registrations. Only one vehicle is permitted per visit. Free parking for Forestry England national members only. No other membership type applies.

Parking at Battle Great Wood has been free of charge for many years. Unfortunately, as our operational costs keep rising, this is no longer sustainable and parking charges will apply from Monday 23 March, 2026.

Money from car parking is essential to help us continue caring for the nation's forests, including Battle Great Wood and making them welcoming places to visit.
