Lyndhurst lies to the west of Southampton Water in south-west Hampshire. If you are travelling from Southampton, London or the east, exit the M27 at Junction 1, signed Cadnam and head southwards into the New Forest. If you are travelling from the west, you can use the A31 from Dorset. From the north, take either the A338 from Salisbury to Ringwood in the west of the Forest, or the A36 to Totton in the east.

Parking and prices

There is no parking at Verderers’ Hall. Please park in the main Pay and Display car park in Lyndhurst. Once you have parked your vehicle, follow the high street up the hill towards the church and you will see a wooden gate and pathway to the Verderers Hall on the left, just after the church.

Tilery Road

Tilery Road is named after a historic Victorian brick and tile works. From the car park there's easy access following the cycle route into Pignall Hill, this is one of the largest collections of inclosure woodlands in the New Forest.

The extensive grassy lawn offers valuable grazing for ponies. Ponies are often referred to as the ‘architects’ of the New Forest. Please don't feed them and keep your distance.
