At Postbridge on the B3212 Yelverton to Mortonhampstead road, take the turning signposted for Bellever.  The Postbridge Village car park is here but for the main Bellever Village car park and toilets, continue further for 1.5km. As you enter Bellever Village, turn left at the triangle of grass and after 130m you will see the entrance to Bellever Forest on the right.

Bus information: Target Travel 98 runs between Tavistock - Yelverton or the Tavistock Country Bus 123 runs between Tavistock - Exeter (via Princetown).

Parking and prices

Bellever Forest has two car parks: at Bellever village and Postbridge village. Overnight stays are not allowed in the forest. Find a campsite for your needs on the Dartmoor National Park website.

Pay for your parking with debit/credit card.

Bellever Forest members park for free. Buy your Membership now for £25 and simply display your pass in your vehicle. Parking charges and memberships help us to look after Bellever Forest for everyone.

Once part of the Stover Estate, Great Plantation is located just north of the market town of Newton Abbot in the heart of South Devon.

Come and explore this mixed woodland which is home to roe deer, woodland birds and the rare pearl-bordered fritillary butterfly.
