Our car parks open at 8am all year around. We have the following closing times:
March to October 8pm
November to February 5pm
How to find us
Friston Forest is located adjacent to Seven Sisters Country Park, between Seaford and Eastbourne. There are three car parks at Friston Forest.
Friston Forest main car park is located on Litlington Road between Exceat and Litlington.
Butchershole car park is located on Jevington Road between Jevington and East Dean.
The Seven Sisters Countryside Park car park is located off the A259 road between Seaford and East Dean. Please note, this car park is managed by East Sussex County Council, not Forestry England, but your Forestry England Membership is still valid there.

Parking and prices
Parking charges apply at Friston Forest
You can now use RingGo* at Friston Forest which allows you to pay for parking online or via an app. Please download the Ringo App before travelling if you can. RingGo is available at 2 locations:
- Butchers Hole
- Litlington Road
Pay for parking on your phone in five easy steps:
1. Open the RingGo app, or download for free if you haven’t already got it, using the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
2. Log in with your RingGo details, or register as a new user.
3. Select your location by entering the 3–6 digit number shown on the parking signs.
4. Enter your number plate and choose how long you’d like to park for. Remember, you can extend this later.
5. Choose to add any handy parking reminders you need, then just tap to pay.
And you’re good to go! Your details are saved so next time, you can park even faster.
If you’re not a smartphone user, you can still use RingGo to pay for your parking by calling 0203 046 0063. You can also register and book parking with RingGo online.

Free parking for members
The Seven Sisters, Friston and Abbots Wood Membership allows you free car parking at the following car parks:
- Abbots Wood - Forestry England
- Butchershole, Friston Forest - Forestry England
- Litlington Road, Friston Forest - Forestry England
- Seven Sisters Country Park Riverside - East Sussex County Council
- Seven Sisters Country Park Forest - East Sussex County Council
Please note there are toilet facilities at Litlington Road car park.

Facilities and access
You are welcome to hire our barbecues where available, but to prevent forest fires and reduce waste, please do not bring any other barbecues into this forest.
Toilets are available at Friston Forest main car park, Litlington Road only. Facilities not available at Butchershole car park.

We give local professional dog walking companies permission to use our sites providing they follow best practice, are fully insured and have adequate risk assessments in place.
