How to find us

We ask that visitors travel to Leigh Woods by public transport, bike or by foot when possible. For those who need to travel by car we kindly ask that you car share.

By Bike - A link, 41, runs through the site to the National Cycle Network Route 4 along the River Avon. Bike parking is available in our car park.

Leigh Woods has a small car park with limited space. 

From the M5 take junction 19 and follow the A369 towards Bristol. After passing through Abbots Leigh you will find the site signposted on the left hand side

By Public Transport

By Bus - The following service runs past the woodland entrance: X3. X3a, X4, from Bristol to Portishead.

Parking and prices

Parking charges apply at Leigh Woods.

You can now use RingGo* at Leigh Woods which allows you to pay for parking online or via an app. Please download the Ringo App before travelling if you can.

Pay for parking on your phone in 5 easy steps:

1. Open the RingGo app, or download for free if you haven’t already got it, using the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
2. Log in with your RingGo details, or register as a new user.
3. Select your location by entering the 3–6 digit number shown on the parking signs.
4. Enter your number plate and choose how long you’d like to park for. Remember, you can extend this later.
5. Choose to add any handy parking reminders you need, then just tap to pay.

And you’re good to go! Your details are saved so next time, you can park even faster.

If you’re not a smartphone user, you can still use RingGo to pay for your parking by calling 0203 046 0063. You can also register and book parking with RingGo online.

Machines are cash free that accept card payment only. 

The money generated from these charges will go back into the cost of managing the woodland and ensure we can maintain it for generations to come.

Regular visitors can save money with a Membership for £80 per year, less than £7 a month - less than £1.55 a week, you will benefit from free parking for a whole year as well as a range of other benefits including discount.

Please note National Trust membership cannot be used at this car park.
