Can you conquer Whinlatter in 2024?

The Challenging Whinlatter Forest is the venue for this Trail Half Marathon & 10k in May 2024. With breath-taking views across the Lake District towards Keswick and Skiddaw this run won’t disappoint those who love the Lakes. The runs are mainly on firm trail paths starting on the North side and finishing on the South side.

What should I bring?

Good fitting trainers that are suitable to the terrain and conditions you are running in are crucial. For forest running, a trail trainer will offer the most grip to stop you slipping on mud. On hard-packed and road based runs, a pair of road trainers provides the correct protection needed. Please check the trail description for more information on the trail surface.

Forests and woodlands have always held a special place in my mind and in my heart. As a young child I spent time in the woodlands with my older brother fishing, making dens and fighting hordes of monsters with our active imaginations.  As I grew up forests and woodlands have had a much more significant impact for my health both mentally and physically.
