Welcome to Alice Holt Forest

Make it a day for everyone to remember with a walk at Alice Holt Forest, enjoy fresh woodland air and a warm drink in the cafe. We have lots of different trails and exciting play areas for you to discover, including our unique Gruffalo Sculptures, and other characters from the story - see who you can find in the deep, dark woods! Everyone's invited to take part in the new forest adventure, to celebrate the Gruffalo's 25th Birthday! Pick up your party pack for just £4 from the Visitor Centre or Activity Centre, packed with fun things to do.

Set within 247 hectares of beautiful forest, if peace and quiet is what you're after, then try our Walking trails and Wellbeing trail. We also have an all-terrain mobility scooter available to hire for those with limited mobility. For adventures with your four legged friend, why not try Forest Walkies with Wallace & Gromit! For more exciting activities visit our Activity Centre with health and fitness activities. Bring your running gear and enjoy a peaceful run along our beautiful trails. If you fancy a thrilling adventure, try one of our Go Ape Treetop adventures – pre booking essential.

Love to cycle? We've got you covered with our Cycle Trails and our new Forest Biking Cycle Hire. Bring your bike along or hire one and explore the forest with your family and friends.

Gruffalo Party trail at Alice Holt Forest

The Gruffalo is celebrating his 25th birthday and to celebrate, everyone is invited to take part in a brand-new forest adventure. The interactive family trail features all sorts of party-themed activities and games, along with fun facts to teach you about life in the forest for the Gruffalo and other creatures.
