Open every day except Christmas Day.  The site opens at 8.00 every day and the closing times are as follows:

November to February - 5:00pm

March - 6:30pm

April - 8:00pm

May to August - 9:00pm

September - 7:30pm

October - 6:30pm

Facilities and access

Visiting Cannop Cycle Centre updated 6 October 2020 

Our car park at Cannop Cycle Centre is now open. We are sure many people will be keen to get out and about,  so to  avoid crowds,  please be  aware you may need to  be  prepared to make the  necessary  decision  to  turn around  if the car park looks busy, or is full,  and come another time.  

Please come fully prepared and be self-sufficient for your visit:

  • Make sure your bike is in full working order
  • Make sure to bring and WEAR your helmet - if you don't own one you can purchase a helmet from Pedalabikeaway.
  • Bring lots of water with you
  • Make sure you have a backpack which contains: First aid kit, water, snacks, sun cream, spare inner tube, pump, small repair kit, map, mobile
  • First Aid will not be available on site, make sure you ride within your limits, WEAR YOUR HELMET, if you do have an accident make your way back to your vehicle if you are able. Only call 999 if it is essential.
  • Please respect others using the Forest - make sure you avoid crowds and maintain social distancing. The 2m rule applies to cyclists too.

When you  visit the nation’s forests, remember it is your responsibility to follow the new guidance on  staying safe outside your home. We are cleaning our car parking machines throughout the day but for your own safety please bring hand sanitiser with you to use after touching the machines.  

If you are uncomfortable with the idea of touching the car park payment machines, you may want to consider becoming a member. As well as supporting the forest you will receive a 12 month car park pass. Find out more.
