Soak up the summer at Wyre Forest

Make the most of long, summer days at Wyre Forest, the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the country. Located west of Birmingham on the Worcestershire-Shropshire border, our ancient woodland is the perfect place to find some shade among the trees.

Whether you’re seeking outdoor fun, fresh air, or unforgettable family moments, Wyre Forest is here for your summer adventure.

Why visit Wyre Forest this summer?

  • explore our leafy arboretum and discover the rare Whitty Pear. Take in the lush greenery and soak up the warm summer.
  • challenge yourselves on the high ropes at Go Ape Wyre Forest, guaranteed to entertain both kids and adults! Afterwards, refuel with treats and refreshments at our welcoming on-site cafe.
  • choose your adventure with a wide variety of trails for walking, cycling, running, and horse riding. Discover something new around every corner of this large forest.
  • we believe everyone should enjoy nature. All-terrain mobility scooters are available to hire (advance booking recommended) to ensure our trails are accessible for visitors with limited mobility.
  • bring your furry friends along! Our convenient dog wash service means a clean pooch after a muddy adventure.
